When the going (ride) gets tough, the tough get going (riding), and what better way to demonstrate this than riding beyond Nigeria’s borders.
The International Rider Tour is open to riders interested in cross-border moto touring.
This is the only event that is certified after the tour.
Once you have successfully certified your ride, you will receive a Tough Tourer patch and stickers, and International Rider Tour Pin (at your first certification only), and patches of the countries visited (if ordered).

You will be required to check-in using the TT Camera App if you have registered before your trip. 

Certification costs N20,000.00 along with the added cost of 5,000.00 per country patch as required.

The International Riders Tour is the only Tour that can be certified 2 years in retrospect, provided all required documents are submitted. Tourer will need to provide evidence of border crossings (entry/exit stamp in your international passport), copies of the bike’s international documents along with pictures of you and your bike in the countries you have visited (The pictures should show landmarks or signposts to corroborate your claim 😉)

RULES

• You must register online before you can be certified.
• Tour registration is not transferable. No refund for any canceled tour or unfinished tour.
• You must register the motorcycle/trike you used during the tour, (verifiable with photographs you provide for the certification process).
• All check-in must be done using the TT Camera App showing a landmark/signpost.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

​1. Download and install the TT Camera App from your Android or IOS device play store.

The TT Camera App is to be used for check-ins at the designated checkpoints and is the only acceptable check-in method for tours and runs.

Tourers are advised to ensure the TT Camera App is fully functional on their mobile device before embarking on their tours/runs.

2. To validate your tour check-ins, you are required to take photographs in front of any visible landmarks to capture the following details:

• Yourself with your motorcycle in view
• Motorcycle dash to show odometer reading ( bike mileage)
• Yourself or motorcycle in view at the designated checkpoints at a distance no further than 500 meters

3. Check-in locations must be further than 5km apart to be considered as being different locations.

REGISTRATION FEE

• N20,000.00. The registration fee entitles you to a TT Patch and sticker,  and an International Rider Pin (on your first certification ONLY).
• N2,000.00 per country flag.

CERTIFICATION

For Tourers who use the TT Camera App while on Tour, tour certification will be done using all your check-ins.

For Tourers seeking certification in retrospect, you will be required to provide evidence of border crossings in the form of:-

• Entry/exit stamp on your international passport.
• Copies of the bike’s international documents.
• Pictures of you and your bike in the countries you visited.
• Pictures should show landmarks or signposts to corroborate your claims.

After the TT Board has reviewed and verified all your evidence, you will receive a Tough Tourer Patch and Sticker, an International Rider Pin, and Flag Patches of countries visited.
