International Rider Tour

When the going (ride) gets tough, the tough get going (riding), and what better way to demonstrate this than riding beyond Nigeria’s borders.
The International Rider Tour is open to riders interested in cross border moto touring.
This is the only event that is certified after the tour.
Once you have successfully certified your ride, you will receive a Tough Tourer patch and sticker, Balaclava, an International Rider Tour Pin, and patches of the countries visited.

You will be required to check-in using the TT App,  provide evidence of border crossings (entry/exit stamp in you international passport), copies of the bike’s international documents along with pictures of you and your bike in the countries you have visited (The pictures should show land marks or sign posts to corroborate your claim 😉)

Certification costs N15,000.00 along with the added cost of 2,000.00 per country patch as required.

The International Riders Tour is the only Tour that can be certified 5 years (2013 onwards) in retrospect, provided all required documents are submitted.

RULES

  • You must register online before you can be certified.
  • Tour registration is not transferable. No refund for any cancelled tour or unfinished tour.
  • You must register the motorcycle/trike you used during the tour, (verifiable with photographs you provide for the certification process).
  • All check-in must be done using the TT App showing a landmark/signpost.

 

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

​1. Download and install the TT App from the download link sent to the email provided in your registeration form.  This TT App will be used to check-in at designated checkpoints and it is the only check-in method permitted for this tour.

2. To validate your tour check-ins, you are required to take photographs in front of any visible landmarks to capture the following details:

  • Yourself with your motorcycle
  • Motorcycle dash to show odometer reading (bike mileage)
  • Yourself or motorcycle in view at the designated checkpoints at a distance no further than 500 meters

3. Check-in locations must be futher than 5km apart to be considered as being different locations.

REGISTRATION FEE

  • N15,000.00. The registration fee entitles you to a TT Patch and sticker, Balaclava,  and an International Rider Pin.
  • N2,000.00 per country flag.

CERTIFICATION

For Tourers who use the TT mobile App while on Tour, tour certification will be done using all your check-ins.

For Tourers seeking certification in retrospect (2013 onwards), you will be required to provide evidence of border crossings in the form of:-

  • Entry/exit stamp on your international passport).
  • Copies of the bike’s international documents.
  • Pictures of you and your bike in the countries you visited uploaded on the TT App.
  • Pictures should show landmarks or signposts to corroborate your claims.

After the TT Team has reviewed and verified all your evidence, you will receive a Tough Tourer Patch and Sticker, Balaclava, an International Rider Pin and Flag Patches of countries visited.
