The cross tour offers several options for participants to explore their limits. The goal of the ride is that each of the towns (Checkpoint towns) on the tip of the Nigerian Cross MUST be reached. The four (4) designated Checkpoint towns are Ikot Abasi (Via Ikot Akan) Akwa Ibom State; Katsina, Katsina State; Okuta, Kwara State and Yola, Adamawa State. The towns can be reached in any sequence or order, by any route possible while riding any motorcycle or trike.

The four (4) designated Checkpoint towns are Ikot Abasi (Via Ikot Akan) Akwa Ibom State; Katsina, Katsina State; Okuta, Kwara State and Yola, Adamawa State. The towns can be reached in any sequence or order, by any route possible while riding any motorcycle or trike.

A minimum distance of 2700km will be covered and that’s without taking into account the ride to the start point and the ride back from the end point. This ride has a 10day completion time and the clock starts ticking from the time the first “Log In” is made.

Certification for the ride starts with receiving a “Participation Pack”. This includes the rules, personalized registration towel, Tough Tourers patch and sticker. Riders who successfully have their rides certified will receive a Nigeria Cross Tour Pin, which documents their ride completion.
